UP is a manufacturer of Pultruded FRP doors, frames, thresholds, door louvers and wall louvers for commercial applications that exactly duplicate hollow metal standards. Our products are sold to door and hardware distributors for resale to contractors and other end users. Our sales representation is through independent sales agencies.

The Universal Pultrusions door system has been around since 1986. It is unique in the fact that the entire door panel is manufactured by the Pultrusion Method. It has been widely accepted through out the industry. In 2004 the ownership changed. Keith and Kevin Jensen purchased the business and became sole owners of the company.

At Universal Pultrusions we are FRP pultruders first and door manufactures next. What that means is we pultrude all the profiles (doors, frames, lit kits, louvers ect.) for our door system in-house assuring top quality components for our products.

The Pultrusion Method is a machine process that mechanically pulls continuous glass fiber reinforcement through a catalyzed resin bath or injector in front of the die. The resin saturated glass then enters a heated steel die that activates the resin producing the final shape. The solid cured profile is then cut to length in line as part of the continuous process. This automated machine process produces materials with very high physical properties. The mechanical pulling force makes it possible to strip excess resin from the glass fibers leaving a very high reinforcement content. Much higher than a hand laid laminate.
